Another one to bring the baby too! One of the key things to focus on after birth is your core and re-engaging this in the right way.
As well as helping correct bad habits, it compliments all other types of exercise. Through postural realignment and increasing core strength, it can be invaluable for back problems, weak bladders, and general toning. Many find it a type of exercise that allows both mental and physical relaxation.
We understand that each Mum's body is different and birth will have affected everyone differently so our specialist teachers will take time to understand each individual and work with their body. They will also act as a baby bouncer and cuddler whilst you are perfecting your roll downs!

Pilates
-
Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. It emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength and flexibility. Pilates teaches body awareness which helps create efficient and graceful movement in everyday life.
In our Pilates classes, all abilities are welcome and our teachers will make sure that whether you are just starting out or a pilates regular you will be challenged, taught and helped.
As well as helping correct bad habits, it compliments all other types of exercise. Through postural realignment and increasing core strength, it can be invaluable for back problems, weak bladders, and general toning. Many find it a type of exercise that allows both mental and physical relaxation.
-
Think a normal Pilates class but ramped up. Using equipment, your body and fundamental Pilates techniques this class is aimed at getting the heart rate up and the sweat dripping!
-
This is similar to our normal Pilates class but will have a greater focus on getting length and flexibility into your bodies. Think great Pilates workout but with a more stretching focus.
-
Strongly focused on the Pilates principle of “centering” (all movements begin with the core for stabilisation of the body ) and integrated movement, this class uses exercises inspired from dance, classical pilates, yoga and calisthenics. This class is a more challenging pace to our normal Pilates.
It includes exercises that involve multiple muscles, joints and brain functions at the same time. Improving stability, mobility, strength, cardiovascular fitness, brain function, mind-muscle connection, flow, and spatial awareness while reducing stress and risk of injury.
The greater the knowledge we have of our own body to improve daily performance, the greater our physical and psychological well-being will be.
Yoga
-
A form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa yoga (however the foundation is rooted in traditional ashtanga postures and usually warms up with repeated sun salutations) so the pace and intensity will all vary depending on the teacher. We have a gorgeous variety of vinyasa teachers and highly recommend giving them all a try so you can get an idea of whose style you like the best. We would suggest beginners attend hatha first to help establish the foundations needed to get the most out of vinyasa
-
An energising practice to get you breathing right and into your body first thing in the morning. Expect an inspiring, creative class that and prioritises how you feel in a posture rather than how you look. Suitable for all.
-
Can vary wildly depending on the teacher as there is a lot of creative licence involved. Carrianne teaches most of our dynamic flow and favours a layered flow building in intensity centred around functional movement patterns (movement for life). She creates and teaches a unique sequence every month which gives you time to become acquainted with the flow and really start to notice shifts in your body and mind. Yes it’s a challenging one, but there are still plenty of options for beginners.
-
A style of yoga based on the Ashtanga sequence (Ashtanga, which has the same sequence every time). Sequencing still features sun salutations, standing asanas, seated postures, twists, and backbends, yet the approach is a lot more fluid and more fun. Breaking away from structure and order, in Rocket, you are encouraged to be playful.
-
Usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer and almost always passive. During each hold, muscles are relaxed to avoid muscle spasm and release tension in the body which has built up over time through emotional stress, physical training and general day to day of London living. Beginner friendly.
-
Consider this a delicious yin/vinyasa sandwich. Rosa will start you off in long held, strong but soft stretches before guiding you into a soulful and spicy vinyasa flow to move and energise the body followed by a final layer of deep, soothing stretches and relaxing Sivasana to finish. Come down and set yourself up in the best way for a wonderful weekend.

Combines the postures, breathing and meditation techniques of classical/modern postural yoga along with innovative explorations outside traditional postures from a conscious subtle and energetic alignment perspective. The classes are always suitable for all levels and won’t fail to integrate the newest student whilst providing a fresh perspective for experienced students. Accessibility for the newcomer with detailed clear instruction and depth for even the most experienced practitioners drawing on the traditional teachings of yoga philosophy and bringing them to life through an experiential understanding to truly give the student the experience of yoga/union beyond just a physical experience but a whole being experience.
-
This is an excellent class to learn the foundations of yoga in a safe and supportive environment. Postures are held for around five deeps breaths to ensure proper alignment, and build strength and flexibility. Without the continuous flow, students are given more time to get in and out of the shapes. The shapes themselves are no less challenging but the steadiness of the practice can make this a great class for beginners!
Barre & Capoeira
-
Barre is a fun ballet-inspired class designed to increase strength and flexibility. The session includes elements of yoga, pilates and ballet. resistance bands, small hand weights and pilates balls are used in both mat and standing exercises. These will be low impact, repetitive isometric movements targeting feet, ankles, calves, quads, glutes and core!
This class is open to everyone, and no experience is necessary.
