Charley Barrat
Why are you a teacher/ trainer?
I became a teacher after rebuilding my own body following a complicated postnatal recovery. The gym became my happy place and has a magic way of turning a 5/10 day into a 10/10. Helping others feel that shift is the best part of what I do.
What do you teach/specialise in?
Strength training is my love. I specialise in supporting women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and menopause, with the aim of creating inclusive classes where strength, confidence, community, and a solid playlist (with some 00s throwbacks) are prioritised!
What do I love about exercise and fitness?
The freedom, the friends, and the never-ending competition between my husband and me to see who’s the fittest.
What is your favourite food?
Yoghurt. There’s no competition. Full fat, 5%, 2%, 0%, soy, coconut — I don’t discriminate. As a snack, on its own, in a smoothie, tzatziki, on shakshuka, in omelettes. Put it in pancake batter? Why not. Serve it with crumble? Sure. (I’m aware I may have a problem.)
What music will be on if you are in the Studio?
00's Throwback tunes!
