Rosa Zhyan

Why are you a trainer/ teacher?

After many years of practice, my father suggested it was time to give away the wisdom that I had learnt from all my teachers. Yoga has always been my safe place, my best friend, a place where I had to cater to no one's needs but mine. Now I have the chance to encourage and guide students to find their own expression and movement through yoga practices and philosophies.

What do you teach/ specialise in?

I specialise in a strong practice (inspired in power vinyasa and rocket yoga styles), followed by a yin style ending. However I have learnt to adapt this to all levels, so slowing down a strong practice has also been predominant in the last 6 months.

What do you love about exercise/fitness?

It is like a wild awakening, something unleashes inside you that would otherwise be dormant.

Favourite food?

Everything! But mainly chocolate.

What music will be on if you're in the studio?

Every class and every week, my playlists change. In every class I introduce storytelling, themes and philosophies that are akin to everyday life experiences, and change of seasons. I carefully curate my playlists to follow this rhythm.
