Sophie Tyler

Why are you a trainer/ teacher?

I got myself a lovely PT and fitness helped ignite and propel me forwards. I trained to be a PT in 2019 in the hope of helping others fall in love with slam balls, feeling strong and to help them get back inside their own bodies and to enjoy being there. I come in a bigger body and I want the perception of doing exercise to move towards health, away from just weight loss and aesthetics. EveryBODY is better for moving.

What do you teach/ specialise in?

Personal training and finding an approach to fitness and wellness that works with your body and mind and not against it. I love a good chat too.

What do you love about exercise/fitness?

I cannot lie, exercise and I have been and are on a journey (it is hard and evolves!), but moving, walking and noticing yourself get stronger and fitter is just magic. A good workout overflows in to your whole day and life. If you do hard things there, you find you can do hard things elsewhere. It is also just so great to get a good sweat on and sweat it all out!

Favourite food?

I cannot pick one. I love food and a lot of it. A massive brunch with a sprinkle station of herbs, nuts and chilli with my besties is up there though. Tasty, tasty meals with wonderful people are important.

What music will be on if you're in the studio?

An eclectic mix of wonder including; 90's Hip hop, grime, garage classics, major power ladies like Lizzo and sing along cheese from 00's with some Moana soundtrack thrown in there for good measure.
